It is evidence of the lack of balance between the cognitive and educational character education.
There is a proverb says, science without religion is blind, and religion without science is lame. Also means that the same cognitive education without character education is blind. Character education is important for education in Indonesia. Character education will be basic or basic quality in the formation of the nation's character, which does not ignore social values such as tolerance, solidarity, mutual cooperation, mutual help and mengormati and so on. Education will bear personal character that not only have superior cognitive ability but has a character that is able to realize success.

Based on the four basic traits of character education above, we can apply the pattern of education provided to students. Misalanya, gives understanding to discuss the good and bad things, provide opportunities and opportunities to develop and explore their potentials as well as appreciation for its potential, to respect the decision and support children in making decisions for themselves, instilling in students the meaning keajekan and responsible and committed to his choice. In my opinion, the most important fact is not pilihannnya, but the ability to choose us and our responsibility for our choices, namely by way of committing to that option.
Character education in the curriculum should be formulated, implemented method of education, and practice in learning. Moreover, in a family environment and surrounding communities should also be applied pattern of character education. By doing so, Indonesia nan generations ahead will be born of character education system.
